Welcome to Hartland Middle School at Ore Creek! I am very proud of our amazing staff who work tirelessly to provide the very best learning experience possible for our students. We are dedicated to helping students reach the high levels of academic achievement necessary to prepare for a successful future. We know it “takes a village to raise a child” and we recognize the collaborative power of a community. We look forward to working with you during your time at Hartland Middle School.
I am a 20-year veteran of Hartland Consolidated Schools, having spent 12 of those years as an administrator at the High School, Farms Intermediate and Creekside Elementary and now at Hartland Middle School at Ore Creek. I have also worked as a science and math teacher in Utah, North Carolina and Canada, and I hold education and administration diplomas from Ferris State University, Brigham Young University and Oakland University.
My wife and I are the parents of three children, all School of Choice Hartland graduates and college students/graduates. One of the best decisions we ever made was to send them to Hartland schools where they received a top tier education. I am confident your Hartland experience will be similar. Please reach out to me if you have questions or concerns, and I will be happy to help in any way I can.

I am excited to be a part of the Hartland Middle School this year. Previously, I’ve spent 7 years at Hartland High School as an Assistant Principal and Dean of Students. I also taught for 8 years at various levels throughout Hartland: elementary, middle school and high school. I had the opportunity to have a great post high school experience by attending The University of Iowa, earning my Bachelors of Science and a Minor in Counseling. I am also proud to have attended different colleges throughout Michigan earning my Masters Degree as well as my Administrative Certificate. My experience across all levels of learning has given me a broad perspective for our students. Hartland Middle School is the springboard to the High School where we focus on Reason, Respect and Responsibility working off of a great history of empathy, achievement, grit, linking, empowering and serving.
I grew up in Hartland attending Lakes, Farms and the Old High School. Being in Hartland is a huge part of my life and I could not see myself being anywhere else. I have an amazing family with my wife and three kids all attending Hartland Schools.
I am looking forward to a great year filled with learning and growing, preparing our students for the next chapter in their lives.
