Note: If you would like to save yourself a trip to the music store, we have three road reps that visit the building each week. One each from Meridian Winds (517.339.7333), Anderson Music (248.477.3800), and Hewitt's Music (248.957.9090). All three are family-owned Michigan companies. You can call any of the three stores to place an order for your student, and the road rep will deliver it to school on their next visit.

Flutes: Cleaning rod and swab

Clarinets: Cork grease, Vandoren reeds (3 strength is ideal for 7th/8th grade)

Saxes: Cork grease, Vandoren reeds (3 strength is ideal for 7th/8th grade), and a neckstrap (preferably an unpadded neck strap)

Oboes: Cleaning swab, minimum two reeds (in case backup is needed during class). Our reps stock Lesher and Jones reeds, your student will most likely need a medium or medium soft.

Bassoons: Minimum two reeds (in case backup is needed during class). Our reps stock Lesher and Jones reeds, your student will most likely need a medium or medium soft.

Brass: ALL should have a mouthpiece brush

Horns: Valve oil, tuning slide grease

Trumpets: Valve oil, tuning slide grease

Tubas: Valve oil, tuning slide grease

Trombones: Slide cream (ask for Trombotine!), tuning slide grease, spray bottle

Vic Firth SD5 general sticks (recommended, good all-purpose stick), Mike Balter BB8 (or similar) medium rubber mallets.
